On January 5th, a meeting on internationalization was held at JUFE. Chaired by Xiao Long, director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange(OICE), the meeting was attended by Vice President Liu Xiaoli and staff of the OICE, the Graduate School, 16 teaching schools and research institutes.
Liu Xiaoli praised what we’ve achieved, and mapped out the internationalization work for 2021. She made a four-point requirement for staff and departments working on foreign affairs: think in a big picture term, and embark on internationalization with great enthusiasm and creative minds; each department build its own features with regard to program accreditation, international academic conference and overseas education; strengthen team building at JUFE and school level that is oriented toward internationalization; make view exchanges and discussion a regular practice. Liu expressed hopes that all departments would work together as one and upgrade JUFE internationalization endeavors.
Xiao Long briefed on what JUFE has done in terms of internationalization and problems it is confronted with, and OICE vice director Liu Xiaobing and his colleague Xia Jinglin explained the changes happened to the evaluation indicators, released evaluation results and introduced the key tasks of the coming year. Attendees from each department had in-depth discussions and exchanges on the problems they’d encountered and key agendas of 2021.
