  • JUFE Held Digital Economy Development Summit Forum

  • On the morning of December 11th, the Digital Economy Development Summit Forum and Jiangxi Digital Economy Development Index Press Conference were held at JUFE. Prof. Lu Fucai, Prof. Yuan Honglin, government leaders, entrepreneurs and reporters of media outlets attended the conference.

    At the press conference, Professor Lu Fucai briefed attendees on his research The Digital Economy Development Index of Jiangxi Province, marking the first release of the digital economic index in Jiangxi province.

    Lu Fucai made a keynote speech themed Several Issues Concerning the Role of Data Elements in Income Distribution. The report shed light on the digital economy and the thoughts about the digital economic development in Jiangxi, and elucidated the digital economy in terms of its form, classification, scope, statistical measurement, development rules, and impacts. Finally, he put forward ideas that Jiangxi's development of digital economy should give play to its policy advantages, such as the 03 Special Project (New Generation Broadband Wireless Mobile Communication Network) , VR, industrial Internet, etc.

    Yuan Honglin briefed the participants on JUFE's capability and features in doing digital economic research. Chen Jinqiao, from the Science and Technology Department of Jiangxi Province, gave an introduction on the construction of Jiangxi's digital economy system and the “03 special project”. Peng Yongping, from Jiangxi Provincial Bureau of Statistics, stressed the importance of statistical measurement in digital economy. Liu Guanghua, from Jiangxi Development and Reform Commission, elaborated on the development of Jiangxi's digital economy and the three-year plan for digital economic development. Chen Jun, from the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Jiangxi Province, detailed the characteristics of the digital economy development of Jiangxi, the construction of industrial Internet platforms, and the promotion of 5G and VR industries. Experts from other research institutions also delivered speeches on digital economic.
