On the afternoon of December 4th, the Awards Ceremony of Outstanding Students in the 2019-2020 Academic Year was held in the Jiaoqiao Auditorium. 512 students were awarded alumni and enterprise scholarships worth 2.05 million yuan; 5,180 undergraduates were granted different national scholarships which amounted to 18.21 million yuan; 3783 postgraduates received national scholarships which added up to 24.9 million yuan. In order to facilitate real-time viewing by global alumni, people from all walks of life, JUFE students and their parents, a live network broadcast of the ceremony was conducted.
Chairman of the board, Prof. Lu Fucai, JUFE President Deng Hui and other JUFE leaders and quite a lot famous JUFE alumni presented the awards to those outstanding students. Professor Lu Fucai thanked thosefamous alumni and presented trophies to them.
At the awards ceremony, Qin Wenhao spoke on behalf of the alumni who established the scholarships. He shared a few stories about his life at JUFE and entrepreneurship experiences and expressed hopes that JUFE students would strive for growth. He mentioned that JUFE’s scholarship was designated to encourage students to pursue excellence and pass on love and hope to the later JUFE generations. At last, he proposed that JUFE students watch the global situation closely while studying at JUFE, and set goals according to their realities.
On behalf of the award-winning students, Wang Xinqi from the School of Accounting made a speech themed Growing up in JUFE and Striving forward in this New Era. Based on his own experience, Wang called on the younger students to better poise themselves for the future.
