  • Recently, the Ministry of Education released the list of national first-level undergraduate courses and JUFE found that eight of its courses were selected. The eight courses consist of one online course (Film and Television Appreciation), two stationary courses (Principles of Database System, Sun Tzu’s Art of War and Enterprise Operation), four hybrid courses (Measurement Model of Economic Statistics, Introduction to the Basic Principles of Marxism, Software Engineering, Intermediate Financial Accounting I) and one social practice course (Internet + Innovation and Entrepreneurship Methods). As of today, JUFE has a total of 16 national first-class courses, ranking among the top in Jiangxi province’s universities.

The construction of national first-level courses is a crystallization of the Ministry of Education’s efforts in implementing President Xi Jinping’s requirements on undergraduate education. Since 2019, the Ministry of Education has recognized 5118 first-level undergraduate courses recommended by provincial education departments.

Curriculum quality has a direct bearing on talent training. In recent years, JUFE has been promoting in-depth integration of information technology with curriculum construction, and upgrading traditional courses based on the construction of open online courses while remaining committed to a student-centered philosophy. At present, the university has established an array of first-level courses with virtual simulation experimental courses, stationary courses, hybrid-form core courses supplemented by social practice courses, 3+7+X courses, specialized courses, general courses, innovative research courses, etc. Boosted by the recognition of these 16 courses, JUFE will step up efforts in building quality courses so as to further catalyze talent cultivating.
