Professor Lu Fucai, president of JUFE, led a delegation to visit Chiba University, Osaka University of Economics and Sapporo University from December 22nd to 26th, 2019. The delegation included Professor Peng Yuan, director of the Personnel Department, Professor Li Min, dean of the School of Arts, and associate Professor Wang Shoukun, the School of Economics.
During the visit to Chiba University, JUFE delegation was welcomed by President Tokukyu Tokuyoshi, Vice President Watanabe Makoto, Professor Takao Kiyoshi, director of the International Division of the Department of Academic Affairs, and Professor Ono Kenta of the Graduate School of Design Science. They had talked on the jointly training of JUFE’s undergraduates majoring in Japanese and master's and doctorates majoring in Economics and Management. Additionally, they looked into the possibility of joint application for the international cooperation in talents’ education and cultivation held by China Scholarship Council(CSC). The two universities also exchanged views on the establishment of a joint research team in Art and Design and signed a framework agreement between two universities.
During the visit to Osaka University of Economics, the delegation met with Professor Yoichi Sakita, director of the board, and Professor Hiroshi Ishihara, director of International Affairs. They expressedsaid that the collaboration could start from the exchange program, and then, jointly build a “High-level International Cooperation Team of Scientific Research”.
During the visit to Sapporo University, the delegation had talked with President Omori Yoshiyuki. Professor Wang Zhiping, associate vice president in charge of International Exchange, introduced the promotion plan of the "2.5 + 2" double-degree program which is supposed to the short-term exchange program.
This visit is to lay a solid foundation for the implementation of open and international education, helped to promote the the key discipline construction of JUFE, attract excellent overseas talents to work at JUFE, and facilitate our teachers to further carry out transnational and in-depth scientific research with overseas peers.
