On the morning of December 20th, Yang Xiangyi, deputy director of the Study Abroad Selection and Training Department of China Scholarship Council (CSC), visited and gave a lecture.
Professor Lu Fucai, President of JUFE, met with Debuty Director Yang. President Lu extended a warm welcome to the visitors, expressed thanks to the CSC for its strong supportofJUFE's internationalization over the years, and that JUFE looked forward to continually receiving the support of the CSC as always.
Yang Xiangyi expressed his appreciation for the efforts and achievements of JUFE's work in studying abroad programs and looked forward to new breakthroughs in this area.
After the meeting, Yang Xiangyi gave a lecture for the teachers and students of JUFE on Interpretation of the national government policy for studying abroad. Nearly 200 people attended the lecture, which was presided over by Xiao Long, director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation.
At the lecture, Yang Xiangyi introduced the government sponsored study abroad policies. He pointed out that in recent years, the state has increased its financial support for studying abroad. In 2019, the state sent nearly 30,000 people to study abroad, and nearly 70,000 people were funded throughout the year. Then he introduced in detail the national scholarship programs and selection methods for studying abroad. In the end, he gave some suggestions to those who plan to apply for these programs.
The lecture was a direct guide for our teachers and students to become more familiar with national study abroad policy.
